In the interest of full disclosure, here is my iPad mini home screen after a little under two month’s use. As I stated when I posted my home screen about a month ago:
As I have preached here before, my out of the box app strategy is this — start it up brand new and install things as needed. Thankfully, iCloud and the ability to selectively load past purchases from the App Store make this easy. I also moved everything from the home screen and the dock right away and have been moving things there based on usage. Above is the shot of what has made it thus far.
Those that do click the above link will see that very little has changed since then. My iPad mini has become a very focused tool for me. I use it, primarily, for reading and writing. Secondarily for communication. I’m very selective when it comes to installing anything that does not support these things. Because of this focus it is the device I use when I want to focus in things like writing, reading, and email with the least amount of distraction.
