Bassjump is a subwoofer designed to enhance your built in Macbook speakers by providing mid and low frequencies. It is designed to be small and portable. It is also decidedly designed to combat the clutter one finds in other solutions (whereby, they mean the wires and cables of a traditional computer speaker set). As one who loved the simplicity and sound of my original design iMac and iSub solution, this looks like the next logical progression for a current day setup.
My Basejump arrived last week, and to my disappointment, does not work when combined with another USB speaker (as in the ones in my Apple LED Cinema Display). With that said, it is a wonderfully designed product, both a hardware and software, and I will likely keep it for travel and use with my 13” MacBook Pro.
Good to see a real world review of this and know of this important limitation.
Also, kind of meta as I am reblogging a reblog of my original post for the added commentary. God I love Tumblr.
