Monolingual is the same as XSlimmer, but free

XSlimmer works fine, though if you strip PPC from /System, Rosetta breaks.
It will free up disk space, but I’m afraid that any “performance boost” is going to be purely psychological.

More than a few people wrote submissions or emails about this in response to my earlier post about XSlimmer. Most of those not in favor of it and suggesting this instead.
Remember folks, using any tool that modifies programs or the system at such a deep level is for serious risk-takers only. Do so at your own risk and only with recent and dependable backups.
