This is how my desktop looks now. After reading Minimal Mac I pruned the menubar and now I have only the bare essentials which are Dropbox, Airport, Clock and Spotlight. I use MiniBatteryStatus in the dashboard to keep check on the battery.
I use Quicksilver with the BezelHUD to open apps and do all sorts of other stuff but since I only installed it again after Snow Leopard came out (it crashed all the time in Leopard) I’m a little bit rusty with it.
The Dock is auto–hidden and kept on the left side and I use Geektools to display the currently playing song. The desktop photo came with Snow Leopard so I don’t have a link to it.
