Concentrate
I just ran across Concentrate and it looks like it aggegrates a lot of the various tips into one nice looking, easy to use application.

This does look like a very useful tool for self policing ones habits for distractions. TUAW has a much better review of it than I will offer here. That said, what I think is most interesting is that you can create different profiles depending on the work you would like to focus on. In other words, one could create a profile allowing access to only the tools they use for writing and nothing else.
