Get To Know Your Curator
Thought I would take the time out to introduce myself to those of you who have found your way here. My name is Patrick Rhone. I’m a Technology Consultant, Mac Geek, Productivity Nerd and Blogger. In consideration of my role here at Minimal Mac, I will add another title to that list – Curator. I think this best describes what I plan to do here. While I have, and will continue to, write some original content for this site, more often what you will see here are links, quotes, photos and submissions around a theme. I will gather such things and present them here for your perusal with, occasionally, additional commentary from me.
Just so we are clear…
I believe the most minimal computer is the one that is optimized for you. How you work. The menubar items you need. The dock items you need. The applications you need. The system you need. The peripherals you need. The tools you need to get the job done.
I believe most of us do not take the time often enough to evaluate what that need is. The entire mission of this site is to help you ask those questions and find the answer that is right. The only answer that is right. The one that is right for you and only you.
It should also be noted that I am a big fan and shameless abuser of the ellipsis, parenthetic asides, and the long (yet, not run-on) sentence…
Beyond Minimal Mac, you can find my hands in a wealth of other projects. These include:
At patrickrhone.com I write about productivity, technology, analog tools, and even a little bit about my personal life.
The Random Post is my tumblelog of things that don’t seem to fit anywhere else.
DuchessBeatrix.com is where I “ghost write” a blog for my daughter, The Duchess of Heckofalot (go read it and it will all make sense).
In addition, I helped to found and moderate work.life.creativity – a forum focused on productive pursuits and creative living.
Of course, you can get in touch with me on Twitter and just about everything else if you look for patrickrhone. Feel free to send some feedback my way or just say “Hello”.
